CR B-35/Highway 106 will be closed next summer for widening
and placement of turning lanes at Jonquil, Killdeer and Lark Avenues.
This will necessitate closure of at least 2.5 miles of the Trolley Trail.
The plan is to take bids in February 2016, hopefully with construction to
begin in April and end in September or October. This project will involve
relocation of segments of the trail a short distance to the south where it
crosses these three roads. It is my understanding that the remainder of
the trail will remain unchanged.
There will be a public hearing at the regularly scheduled
meeting of the Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, September
22, 10:10 AM at the Supervisors Boardroom at the courthouse. This will
deal with obtaining right of way at the three intersections. All are
welcome to attend. I plan to attend the meeting and will send an email
with updated information after the hearing.
